BETHEL TEMPLE CHURCH MOTTO:
“A Loving Family of Families”
· Each family is unique:
o Some are multi-generational
o Some are single
o Some are nuclear and others divided
· When people come to Bethel Temple we want them to feel like they are part of our loving family and that they are embraced by the family of God.
BETHEL TEMPLE CHURCH MISSION:
"LOVE, LIVE & LEAD"
1) “Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, strength and mind; and love your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)
2) Live the life God has called you to each and every day.
3) Lead others into that life by your personal example; as Paul said, "Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ." (1 Cor. 11:1)
· We need to Lead the lost to Jesus (evangelism)
· We need to lead other believers into a deeper spiritual walk. (discipleship)
STAFF MISSION:
“EQUIP, ENABLE and ENCOURAGE”
As a ministry staff we need to:
1) Equip the people to do the work of the ministry
· Ephesians 4:11-13 “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
2) Enable people with opportunities to minister.
· One of our greatest challenges is to consistently help people put their hands on the plow and partner in the ministry.
· If no one is following us then what kind of leader are we?
3) Encourage the people as they do the work of the ministry.
· We all know that it’s easy to get discouraged so it’s vital that we are consistently coming along with words of affirmation and encouragement.
· It’s easy to catch people doing things wrong but we need to strive toward catching them doing things right.
SERVANTHOOD: Let’s also never forget that as ministers we are servants “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” (Mt 20:16). “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)
